What sizing information do you need from me?
It depends on what you order. We can work from a commercial clothing size, but would prefer to get some measurements from the child. Helpful measurements include:
- from the nape of the neck to the waist
- from the waist to where you would like the hem of the dress or pants
- a waist measurement
- a chest measurement

How long will it take to get my merchandise?
That depends on the complexity and volume of your order. I would love to have a month to work on your order but I know we don't all plan that far ahead. When you contact us, please let us know when you need the order and I will let you know if it can be done by then. Generally, two weeks from order to ship date is adequate on non-smocked garments, but it really depends on the backlog of orders that we have at the time.

The more advance notice that I have, the less hurried I need to be in the completion of the garment. There will also be lag time if I have to special order any supplies. If you would like clothing made for Christmas or Easter, please order as far in advance as possible. (For example, in 2004, we were unable to accept additional Easter orders after the end of January.)

Are the items on the website for sale?
Yes and no. Some of them are for sale as noted. Be sure to check the link at the left labeled "For Sale Today." The availability and the sizes are listed near the pictures and as a general rule, items listed under "For Sale Today" cost less than similar custom made garments.

Others items are samples that have previously been made for my daughter, or for other customers. Many of those samples can be custom made for you and we have fabric available to make quite a few of them. The details on each of those samples can be found within the text on those pages.

When do I pay for the merchandise?
We expect full payment before shipping or beginning work on a custom order. We accept Cash, Checks (must clear before shipping) and Money Orders. We also accept Paypal including Credit Cards through your Paypal account.

How much is shipping and handling?
I ship via the United States Postal Service Priority Mail and charge only actual shipping, with no handling charge. The USPS rates are based on weight, so for one outfit, the cost for shipping is usually under $5. If you would like insurance through the USPS it will be an additional charge. Please let me know if you would like an insurance quote.

Do you give refunds?
These are custom made articles. Refunds are only given in extreme circumstances when the merchandise delivered is grossly unlike the merchandise ordered.

Can I learn to smock?

Can you pleat my fabric?
We can pleat fabric that you provide for 25 cents per row. If it’s a common fabric like a white cotton or poly/cotton blend for an insert, we can pleat some here for you and add only the cost of the fabric to the pleating cost. If it is fabric to match something that you have, please mail a strip to us and we will pleat it and return it.

Do you offer gift certificates?
We offer gift certificates in any amount. Just let me know what you would like.
